FRIENDS OF GAS from Munich are a monolith, combining noisy guitars and fragmented lyrics, song structures and improvisation, Post-Punk and neo-Kraut. They know about the materiality of sound, introducing us to music as a physically experienceable sphere and trigger sonic vehemence. From every pore spears a corporal, unquestioning nature, that may be threatening to some. But also vulnerability, that will frighten some, and an appetite for risks, that some don’t even know about. This band is violence and beauty in a frenzy. The massif central: Nina Walsers throaty and declaiming voice.
